Jesse Lingard is a footballer who grew up in Manchester United’s academy. With over 200 appearances for the Red Devils, the Englishman left the scene of productive football and decided to go to South Korea.
Jesse Lingard will sign a contract with Seoul
Jesse Lingard has been without a team since the summer of 2023 after leaving Nottingham Forest.
At the age of 31, he trained in Manchester United’s academy and played more than 200 games for the group’s first team at Old Trafford.
During his career he has also been loaned out to Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton, Derby County and West Ham United, and from 2022 played for Nottingham Forest.
After just one season, the Englishman, who made 182 appearances, 29 goals and 17 assists, was out of contract and the only option that arose was a contract in South Korea.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lingard will sign for FC Seoul, a team fighting to stay in South Korea’s first league. The contract is for two years, and he would have already passed part of the medical tests.
Jesse Lingard passed the first part of his medical on Monday as a new player for FC Seoul.
The final piece will be completed today before the signing on Wednesday.
