Niculescu and Buksa lost after two sets to Caroline Dolheide / Desiree Krawczyk from the USA, 6-4, 7-5.

For participation in the first round in Abu Dhabi, Monica Niculescu and Cristina Buxa will receive a check for $5,140 and a point in the WTA doubles ranking.
