​Petrolul Ploieşti announced on Monday the transfer of Albin Berisha, a Kosovar forward who has been playing for FC Ballkani, CFR Cluj’s former rivals in the Conference League groups.

According to Fanatik, Petrolul paid 200,000 euros to acquire the services of Berisha.

“Today it was officially announced the transfer of striker Albin Berisha to FC Petrolul Ploiesti, the Kosovar player signed a contract with our group valid until the end of the 2026-2027 season. Two-time champion of Kosovo Albin Berisha (23) comes to Petrolulu to prove his scoring qualities.

“Berisha has played in the last two seasons for FC Balkani, including in the previous matches of the Champions League, Europa League and in the groups of the Conference League, and in the current edition of the championship he scored seven goals in 18 matches played,” reports the website of the Prague group.

  • Berisha appeared on the field in both matches of “Balkan” against “CFR Cluj”: in the tour he was introduced in the 84th minute, and in the return he entered the starting line-up and played until the 64th minute.
  • Berisha also played for FC Lachi (Albania), FC Besa and FC Liria (both from Kosovo).
  • Three more footballers from FC “Balkani” entered the Romanian Super League: Ermal Krasniki (Rapid / also transferred to “CFR Cluj”), Florent Hassani (Rapid) and Rion Zeynullagu (CFR Cluj).
  • Nafta also recently loaned Nigerian Christian Irobiso (from Saudi group Al-Ula).
