We talked to you about it at the beginning of the week in our columns, BMW presented a facelifted version of its 4 Series. But when we talk about the 4 Series, we obviously also talk about the famous M4, the German sports coupe famous for its six-cylinder in-line.

Thus, the BMW M4 and M4 Cabriolet also underwent a restyling box and at the same time received, a handful of extra horses.

Aesthetic and technological improvements for the BMW M4

The BMW M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive and the BMW M4 Competition Convertible with M xDrive have a significantly revised appearance with a new light signature for the headlights, laser taillights and 19- and 20-inch M light-alloy wheels (front/rear) with a unique design. A model-specific M Carbon exterior package has been added to the options catalog. This includes inserts for the front air intakes, rear diffuser, exterior mirror caps and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. BMW also offers the optional M Race Track package which allows to reduce the weight of the vehicle by 25 kg. This package includes M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Carbon bucket seats and high-gloss carbon fiber trim strips.
Inside, the BMW M4 M coupe and convertible get a new M multifunction leather steering wheel, special interior trim and electronically adjustable M Sport seats. Note the appearance of the curved screen and the BMW Operating System 8.5 infotainment system. At the heart of it all is a digital dashboard with a 12.3-inch screen located behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch touchscreen.

The power version disappears from the catalog

Under the hood, the BMW M4 gains 20 horsepower compared to the previous version and rises to 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The engine remained the same, namely a 3.0-liter inline twin-turbo. Bad news for purists: the manual transmission is still not available in France the force version disappears from the catalog. Currently, only the M xDrive version is available. In terms of performance, the BMW M4 Competition can accelerate to 100 km/h in just one step 3.5 seconds (3.7 seconds for the convertible), with a top speed of 250 km/h or 280 km/h as an option. New BMW M4 coupes and convertibles from March. The coupe will be available from 121,000 euroswhile the Cabriolet version starts at 127,700 euros.

To this should be added a fine of 60,000 euros, which is valid in France.
