Arriving in the main draw as a lucky loser, Christian (89 WTA) succumbed after an hour and 35 minutes of play, 6-3, 7-6(5).
Jacqueline came back from 2-5 down in the second set and saved two match points in the tiebreak, but Burrage (102 WTA) eventually managed to close out the match.
