​CFR Cluj overcame a setback against Botoşani in the previous round and won an emotionless 4-1 clash with FC Voluntari in the match of the 23rd round of the Romanian Super League.

The change of coach was favorable for CFR Cluj, who beat FC Voluntari in a match played in Gruja.

On Adrian Mutu’s technical debut, the Transylvanian formation opened the scoring in the 36th minute when Birlighea recovered in goal from Deak’s cross.

After 7 minutes, the German beat Sava with a wonderful header and Ilfoven had a chance to take the lead before the break, but Popescu hit the crossbar.

In the second half, Otele took advantage of CFR again (min. 62), taking advantage of a mistake in the opponent’s defense. Just two minutes later, Deak played the role of servant again and passed to Tahtzidis, who made the score 3:1.
