The leaders of the three parties that make up the United Right Alliance spoke on Sunday in the capital city hall in support of the new term of Nikusor Dan.

These statements were made during a joint press conference supported by Katelin Drula, Eugen Tomak and Ludovic Orbán, after USR, PMP and Forţa Dreptei announced their election program for the European Parliament.

“I consider it obvious that we are the three political formations that supported Mr. Nikusor Dan and that continue to support the work that is being done in the General Mayor’s Office. In addition, the position of mayor is a natural candidate. We have full support from our side,” said Ketalin Drula.

“Nicúsor Dan will be the general mayor of the capital even after this year’s elections, because behind Nicúsor Dan, in addition to our votes, there will also be the votes of the honest and fair citizens of Bucharest, and the citizens of Bucharest will know that a vote for PNL in the capital is actually a vote for PSD. And we will make sure to inform the citizens not to waste their votes, and I am convinced that our energy will reboot the political scene as it should be and as Romanian citizens expect,” said PMP leader Eugen Tomac.

Ludovic Orban accused the “real estate sharks” of trying to “take back” Bucharest and emphasized that it is “fundamental” that the local administration is headed by a person “who is primarily concerned with improving the lives” of citizens.

“Of course, we don’t think Nikushor Dan is perfect and that he has even fulfilled all the goals for which he was elected mayor. On the other hand, we see very clearly that real estate sharks and all those who looted local budgets illegally profited from improper relations with the capital city hall both during Oprescu’s time and during Gabriela Firea’s time. They sharpen their sabers and try to recapture Bucharest. It is fundamentally important for us that Bucharest remains in the hands of the mayor, who is primarily concerned with improving the lives of citizens and completing the projects he has undertaken to implement, and not with political games or the recapture of the mayor’s office by sharks. real estate and all the factions that have looted Bucharest over time,” Orbán said.
