The electric car, costing about 100 euros, was officially launched by the government at the beginning of the year with the aim of allowing low-income households to buy an electric car. Manufacturers have also played the game, and many of them today offer several models that qualify for this assistancein particular, the group Stellantis, which was one of the first to play.

Remember that the vehicle must first be eligible for the environmental bonus, that is, it must be produced in Europe in accordance with the new bonus conditions that are in effect in France (the decree about which has not yet been published). writing…). Added to this is another aid for determining the size of social leasing, which, summing it all up, can give up to 13,000 euros in car subsidies.

Conditions for obtaining social leasing

This social leasing is correlated with a basic tax income, which must not exceed 15,400 euros per year per unit. Therefore, a couple earning €30,800 a year may be eligible for the scheme. And at the same time, the target value has been strengthened: drive more than 8,000 kilometers per year for professional reasons or live more than 15 kilometers from the place of work.
According to the first government data, about 90,000 requests were made in a few weeks. The problem is that only 20,000 to 25,000 files will be saved, even though the government has already announced that it may be opening several gateways to allow more files to be registered and reach 40,000. The Stellantis group was one of the first to propose several models that are suitable for social leasing through different brands (Citroën, Peugeot, Jeep, Fiat and Opel) and these are the cars in question:

Like Renault, Stellantis has decided to integrate three SUVs into social leasing with the Citroën ë-Berlingo, Peugeot e-Rifter and other Opel Combo Electrics.

Renault will be one of Stellantis’ main competitors at this level: Twingo E-Tech from €40 per month, Mégane E-Tech from €150, Kangoo E-Tech from the same price or Zoé from €100 per month. month. Hyundai has been offering the Kona for €95 a month for a few days now, while the Volkswagen Group also offers four matching cars and Nissan its Leaf for €65 a month.

French manufacturers were the first because they would have been consulted in advance by the government, not foreign brands.
