>> Novak Djokovic loses after six years at Australian Open – Yannick Sinner’s career win

Australian Open, no member of the BIG 3 (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal) in the final after 19

The 2005 tournament was the last without a member of the BIG 3 (Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal) among the finalists.

On January 30, 2005, Marat Safin defeated Lleyton Hewitt in four sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

Since then, Antipos has won the main tournament Roger Federer (2006, 2007, 2010, 2017, 2018), Novak Djokovic (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023), Rafael Nadal (2009, 2022) and Stan Wawrinka (2014).

Roger Federer retired from tennis in 2022, Rafael Nadal missed out on AO 2024 (he returned after a one-year absence but was injured in Brisbane), and Novak Djokovic was eliminated in the semi-finals.

Yannick Sinner (4th favorite) and the winner of the match Daniil Medvedev (3) – Oleksandr Zverev (6) will meet in the last act of the 2024 draw.
