The team is led by Domenico Bagnasco, responsible for testing the dynamic synthesis of the car, to whom we owe the Alfa Romeo 4C, 8C and Giulia GTA sports cars. We also find Stefano Cereda, to whom we owe the Giorgio platform and the Giulia and Stelvio diesel engines, or the development of the Tonale plug-in hybrid engine. Luigi Domenicelli is responsible for the technical development of the Milano, which ensures the car’s performance, durability, handling, ergonomics and comfort.

A small SUV based on the Peugeot 2008

Even if the Italian firm is still stingy with details, Alfa Romeo Milano will be better the first city SUV its history, which will allow it to once again conquer the B segment, the most important in Europe, which it no longer occupied after the abandonment of MiTo.
Even if its development will be carried out by Alfa teams in Italy, the future Alfa Romeo Milano will not start from a clean slate as it will be rebuilt PSA Group’s e-CMP platformnow integrated into the group’s organ bank Stellantis. Therefore, the future Italian city SUV will be a distant relative of the Peugeot 2008, DS 3, Opel Mokka, Jeep Avenger and other Fiat 600s.
Under the hood, Alfa Romeo Milano should have gasoline, diesel, as well as 100% electric engines. The latter will also come from the PSA group’s organ bank (Stellantis) with 156 horsepower and a 400V battery that will provide a range of around 400 km.
