The general mayor of the capital, Nikushor Dan, says that at the moment the heating system works at 99% and “behaves well”, even though it is the coldest period of winter, writes Agerpres.
“We are in the coldest period of this winter and the system is behaving well. I had periods where I was 100%. Now we are at 99%. Some things are still happening. Even if there is damage, if it is very cold, they are removed after four or five days so as not to interrupt the operation. At the moment, the system is working well,” the mayor general said in a press statement.
According to him, in 2024, the priorities of the Bucharest City Hall will be related to the continuation of work on the modernization of the heating network and tram lines.
Regarding payments to people with disabilities, Nikushor Dan said that this topic will be considered during the discussion with the general advisers of the capital’s budget.
“We are in a situation where, starting from 2021, we pay 250 lei instead of 500 lei per month and, of course, this means a delay,” he explained.
