They moved with approximately 100 agricultural machines and cars on the corresponding section of the road, on which they received permission to protest after the decision of Dolj Prefecture.

Around noon, the traffic in this area, at the entrance to the municipality of Craiova, was complicated.

There were more farmers who took part in Sunday’s protest in Craiova than the day before. They say they will not stop protesting until the government addresses their demands.

Since Saturday, farmers from Craiova and representatives of the Cerealcom Dolj group of companies, which is one of the top three producers and five largest grain traders in Romania, have joined the protest.

Cerealcom CEO Mihai Angel said on Saturday to Agerpres that he must stop the disdain that governors have shown for the past 30 years to farmers, an important category of the country that only requires entry. to a normal state to be able to continue its activities.

  • “I am also a farmer, we all face the same problems and we should be a single voice, which, unfortunately, has not been possible until now. The contemptuous attitude of the governors over the past 30 years towards farmers, an important category of the country, which is very difficult to carry out its activities, must be stopped.
  • Farmers do not demand anything extraordinary. He only requires a return to normal life in order to be able to continue his activities. The government must put on the table solutions, normal, reasonable alternatives, both for the country and for those who work in agriculture.
  • I think the big advantage of these demonstrations is that they will raise awareness that farmers represent something for Romania and they need to be listened to. We must be in solidarity and fight together to continue to exist,” Mihai Angel said to the previously quoted source.

Farmers and transporters continue to protest in Afumak on Sunday.

However, only one tractor head and five people came to the protest in the capital, which received permission to be held on Constitution Square. Protesters in the country say they do not want to participate in the demonstration in the capital, accusing it of being a political organization.
