Russian Mirra Andreeva’s adventure at the Australian Open 2024 ended in the round of 16, when the 16-year-old lost in three sets to Barbora Krejcikova.

Andreeva (47 WTA) started the match better at the John Cain Arena and won her first match 6-4.

The 2021 Roland Garros champion (she also has 7 Grand Slam doubles titles and 3 mixed doubles titles), Krejcikova made a spectacular comeback to win in the next set 6-3, 6-2.

  • In the next round, Barbora (9th favorite) will meet Aryna Sabalenko (titled champion). They met six times, and the Belarusian athlete leads with a score of 5-1.
