The Copa del Rey Round of 16 match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is scheduled for Thursday 18 January at 10.30pm at the Wanda Metropolitano and will be broadcast live on Digi Sport 1.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are second in the league after 20 rounds with 48 points, one behind leaders Girona (who have an extra game in hand) and are coming off five wins in their last seven official matches, regardless of the competition, the last one in the final of the Spanish Super Cup in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), the score 4-1 against Barcelona.

Real Madrid has 20 Copa del Rey trophies in its history, the last of which was won in 2023 after a 2-1 final with Osasuna, and it has lost another 20 times in the last tournament, the last time in 2013 (1-2 with Atlético Madrid ).
