Mitike Dragomir, former president of the Professional Football League, 77 years old, recently told a lesser-known incident from his life. It all happened during the Revolution of 1989, when a former football player hid his money in a ditch. At that time, he headed the football team “Victoria”, which belonged to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

“When I saw the revolutionaries on the streets, I also had my money… I climbed onto the building of the unit where I was the commander, near Hryvitsa, and put a sewer on them. The money I had. More lei, dollars, rubles. I put them down the drain. Always and you will see. After a few months, the sun began to shine, the snow melted and all that water pushed them out, and the yard was filled with money,” said Dragomyr.

“And Anina’s prosecutor comes to me and tells me to get dressed to go with him. 3-4 months have already passed. I asked them what they wanted from me. He told me that my part is full of money. When I was walking, there were policemen everywhere,” Dumitru Dragomir told.
