Mirra Andreeva, a fantastic victory with Ons Jabert at the Australian Open: 6-0, 6-2

Melbourne’s number six favourite, Jaber, had a nightmare match, losing the first set to nil after just 20 minutes (!), and things didn’t improve in the second either, one down 6-2.

The fight lasted only 54 minutes, which made it one of the most serious defeats that Jaber suffered in his career.

At the age of 29, Ons clearly lost the battle of the generations with Mirra Andreeva (16 years old), it is interesting that the Russian girl’s childhood idol was exactly the one she categorically defeated on Wednesday.

  • Ons Jaber’s best result at the Australian Open is reaching the fourth round of the 2020 tournament.
