Health Minister Alexandru Rafila responded on Monday at a press conference to questions about the decision to increase funding for family and outpatient medicine that “I am in the Ministry of Health, negotiations and contracts are concluded with CNAS, and funding is agreed by the Ministry of Finance. Rafila also stated that he hopes that “after the negotiations, the difference between what was funded in 2023 and the current situation will be as small as possible and will allow, in case of budget adjustments, to replenish the funds.”

The Minister of Health called on family doctors and outpatients to “participate conscientiously in negotiations with CNAS”.

The rates proposed by the CNAS are lower than last year, and family and outpatient doctors are threatening to stop signing contracts with the House of Health Insurance from February 1, which could mean they will no longer provide consultations set from next month, but within fees.

Family doctors have decided not to sign contracts with the Hospital for the month of February, unless CNAS increases the current settlement rates. This means that GPs could continue to provide the same medical services, but for a fee – nothing is regulated. In Bucharest, more than half of family doctors have decided to stop cooperating with CNAS if the amounts paid to doctors by the Chamber do not increase, Mihnia Stroe, president of the Association of Family Doctors of Bucharest, announced on Monday. press conference – Ilfov.

Sandra Alexiou, president of Ilfov, the Bucharest association of family doctors, says that a possible decision to provide paid medical services will be discussed and decided at the national level. Currently, doctors do not rule out such an option, although they say that they have never left patients without medical care.

And outpatient specialists have decided not to sign contracts with CNAS at the current prices proposed by the Chamber, which means that they will also not be able to provide permanent medical services, says Cosmin Alexandrescu, president of the Association of Outpatient Physicians. .
