PAOK Thessaloniki returned to the first position of the rating in Greece after an emphatic 4-0 victory over Giannina at home in Round 18.

Having unexpectedly lost in the previous stage in the local derby with Aris, PAOK lost the first place in the Greek ranking.

However, Rezvan Lucescu’s team came back strong and showed that the defeat was a fluke.

PAOK opened the scoring against Giannina in the 29th minute thanks to Baba.

The second half brought three more goals, Meite, Tsimas and Rienstra scored a decisive victory with an own goal.

However, the team from Thessaloniki received a lot of help in the Athens derby.

Pre-tournament leaders Panathinaikos led until the end against AEK, but in the sixth minute of extra time, a 11-metre strike ended the score at 2-2.
