NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Joane said Friday night, when asked whether there was a threat of an attack by the Russian Federation on the Republic of Moldova, that the country had no reason to worry from a military point of view, but “in general, a hybrid war, a year from now with the presidential elections, it is also vitally interesting for Russia.”

“We are helping people from the Republic of Moldova to increase their resistance to disinformation and cyber attacks,” Mircea Joane said when asked by Digi 24 on Friday if there was a threat of Russia attacking the Republic of Moldova.

He added that the chance to integrate the Republic of Moldova into the European Union “comes only twice in a century.”

“We are interested in the integration of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine into the EU,” Joane also said. (News.ro)
