MG: targets significantly exceeded in 2023

At the start of 2023, MG set a target of 25,000 deliveries to France throughout the year, a milestone well surpassed by its French subsidiary MG Motor. In addition, with 34,441 registrations, MG set a new sales record in France with an increase of 161.5% compared to the previous year. Impressive numbers for a brand that was relaunched only 3 years ago.

In 2023, MG made 69.9% of sales to private customers and rose to 3rd place in electric vehicles, as well as 11th place in the overall private market in France. Most deliveries were made in December 2023, with at least 8,140 registrations last month.

The famous MG4

The MG4 Electric is the most popular model for MG Motor, with 20,510 deliveries recorded in 2023. Launched in October 2022, MG4 here the best-selling electric compact on the French market during the first full year of marketing. It attracted French customers who were looking for a 100% electric model that was versatile and affordable.

For the entire year 2023, MG Motor ranks 5th in the electric vehicle market with a market share of 9.1% of electric vehicle sales in France. MG’s 100% electric range accounted for no less than 80.5% of sales last year.
