Now officially, the Chinese manufacturer BYD has become the world leader in the production of electric cars, and Tesla is on the second step of the pedestal, right behind it. In third place, we still find the zero-emission Volkswagen ID. Logically, then we could believe that the German manufacturer is doing well, but in reality it is not. Falling prices
And it is not for nothing that the latter recently announced a major action plan to get off to a good start and make up for a very difficult period. In fact, sales fell so much that production even had to be stopped for a short period due to lack of demand. But now the manufacturer has recently sharply reduced prices its range ID. Thus, the ID.4 now starts at €43,990, which entitles it to an environmental bonus that now increases to €4,000. Very good news that allows it to compete even better with the Tesla Model Y.
Updated range
For its part, the ID.5 now starts at €50,500, which is still in line a drop of 11,260 euros. But that’s not all, because the two electric SUVs benefit from increased power and autonomy. There are so many improvements that make both cars as well as the ID.3 more competitive against the competition. And there are plenty of them, starting with the Renault Mégane E-Tech, as well as the new Scénic E-Tech, which has just officially announced its lineup and pricing.
