He explained to the mountain gendarmes that he wanted to get as close as possible to the place where he stopped. This is the second such incident in recent days at Muntele Mic. Two days ago, a taxi driver drove his car onto the slope among skiers, explaining: “The further I take the client, the more profitable it is for me,” reports News.ro.
- “A tourist in his car crossed two slopes, posing a threat to the life and health of skiers, because he ignored clear signs prohibiting driving. He got stuck with his car right at the base of the final slope. Mountain gendarmes from Muntele Mic Post on patrol spotted the vehicle on the ski slope and immediately attended the scene. After recognizing the driver, he stated that he intended to deliver his luggage to the hotel without using the means of transport provided by the owners of the accommodation,” representatives of the Karash-Severin gendarmerie inspectorate reported on Sunday.
The gendarmes fined the tourist 1,000 lei for violating access rules and endangering safety on the ski slopes.
This is the second such incident this week on Muntele Mic. Two days ago, a taxi driver drove his car up the slope, among skiers, to bring his customers as close as possible to the accommodation.
The driver stopped by the mountain gendarmes claimed that his status as a taxi driver gave him the right to drop off customers anywhere. “The further I take the client, the more profitable it is for me,” the man continued to reason.
He was also fined one thousand lei.
