Three years after the attack on the United States Capitol, the American federal police announced on Saturday the arrest of three people who were actively wanted for their involvement in the event that deeply affected the country, AFP reported, according to News.ro.
Jonathan Pollock, Olivia Pollock and Joseph Hutchinson were arrested Saturday morning at a farm in Groveland, Florida, the FBI said in a statement. They will appear in federal court in Ocala on Monday.
The three suspects are wanted for assault on public servants, disorderly conduct at the Capitol and trespassing. Police were offering a $30,000 reward for information leading to Jonathan Pollock, 24, being “considered armed and dangerous.”
In a 35-month long investigation that is still ongoing, US authorities have indicted more than 1,200 people in nearly all 50 states in connection with the January 6, 2021, uprising. More than half of them were convicted.
Those who stormed the Capitol were protesting the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in the November 3, 2020, presidential election.
Donald Trump has never admitted defeat in this election and strongly denies that he incited his supporters to attack the headquarters of Congress.
