Rayo Vallecano and Deportivo Alaves qualified for the 1/8 finals of the Spanish Cup by beating Huesca (2:0) and Real Betis (1:0).

The team, in which the Romanian plays, managed to pull away only in overtime. On the 118th minute, Oskar Valentyn opened the scoring, and on the 120th + 2nd minute, Palason established the final score.

Also on Saturday, Deportivo Alaves narrowly defeated Real Betis thanks to Benavides’ goal (57th minute). Janis Hagi started in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 66th minute.

Real also respected the status of the favorite and bypassed Arandina without emotion.

After 0-0 at half-time, the team coached by Carlo Ancelotti went into the second half and scored twice in one minute, thanks to Josel (54th minute, penalty) and Rodrigo (55th minute). The same Rodrigo scored again in the first minute of overtime, but the hosts had the last word. The final score was set by Cabral (90+3).
