An 18-year-old man from Gorzh, who had just received his driver’s license, drove a friend on the hood of his car through the streets of Tirgu-Zhiu. The images appeared on TikTok, the police tracked down the young man, identified him, revoked his driving license and fined him.

Police reported themselves after images appeared in the public domain showing a young man sitting on the hood of a car believed to be driving through the streets of Tirgu Jiu. Investigations revealed that the images were taken on the streets of that city and then posted on TikTok, Gorge County police said.

“As a result of the investigation carried out by the police to find the driver, he was identified as an 18-year-old boy from Bolboshi, Gorzh County. The police fined the man 990 lei for non-observance of the legality of the transportation of persons,” the district police informs.

In addition, the young man was left without the right to drive, having withdrawn his driver’s license for 30 days.
