CFR Cluj completed the transfer of former Napoli player Omar El Kaddouri. He signed as a free agent.

CFR Cluj decided on the transfer of El Kaddouri, a former Napoli player. The player, who has made more than 100 appearances in Serie A, is in Cluj and will sign a three-year contract.

The 33-year-old has been out of contract since the summer of 2023 after parting ways with PAOK, and has also played for reigning Italian champions Napoli in the past.

With 30 caps and 5 goals for the Moroccan national team, the player, who is currently valued at €600,000, plays as an attacking midfielder and has 108 caps, 12 goals and 16 assists in Serie A.

We are happy to announce the first transfer of this winter! As of today, our new attacking midfielder is Omar El-Kaddouri.

With a wealth of experience, El Kadduri made 108 appearances in Serie A for Napoli, Torino and Empoli. In the last six seasons, the Moroccan midfielder played for PAOK Thessaloniki, for which he played 173 matches, scoring 10 goals and 13 assists.

Born in Belgium, of Moroccan descent. Omar was called up to the Moroccan national team at the age of 22. So far, he has played 32 matches and scored 5 goals for his country’s representative team, with whom he also participated in the 2012 Olympic Games.
