Dacia Spring cuts prices to compensate for loss of bonus Auto Plus news in your smartphone Auto Plus news in your inbox

At the end of last year, Dacia Spring disappeared from the brand catalog. A brief disappearance to return better in 2024 and cheaper!

Except no, not really, because even if it’s cheaper than last year on the face of it, let’s not forget that it lost the environmental bonus in France in 2024.

Environmental bonus in France in 2024

It will be recalled that the government has decided to review the contours of the bonus rules for 2024, including more precise, even protectionist criteria, even if it refuses to use this term. This new version of the environmental bonus lies in its focus on vehicles with the best carbon footprint.

Various environmental criteria are taken into account, such as the materials used, the type of battery, the energy consumption of the factory and the impact of vehicles. In other words, the measure aims to exclude cars made in China, as in the case of the Spring.

Dacia Spring lowers prices, but…

To compensate for the loss of the precious sesame, Dacia has reduced prices. As a reminder, in 2023, the entrance ticket was 20,800 euros, excluding bonuses. It falls on 18,400 euros in January 2024, a drop of €2,400. The same goes for the 65 hp Extreme version, which ranges from 22,300 to 19,900 euros.

The 2024 Dacia Spring is cheaper than the 2023, but it will be more expensive for buyers. Indeed, with a bonus of 5,000 euros, the spring started with 15,800 euros. Let’s clarify that in 2024 the bonus should decrease to 4,000 euros, which would give a price of 16,800 euros.

18,400 euros for Dacia Spring, taking into account the services offered, we can’t help but find it expensiveespecially if you remember that in 2021, when the car came out, it was offered for 16,990 euros, excluding bonuses.

The Citroën ë-C3 is due to hit in spring 2024 with a base price of €23,300 without a €4,000 bonus, so since it will be built in Europe, not to mention the Citroën is more versatile, with better autonomy and a lot less concessions within.
