PAOK Thessaloniki secured first place – Rezvan Lucescu’s team did not miss two penalties

PAOK Thessaloniki continued their excellent run from the end of last year and won their seventh consecutive championship.

Rezvan Lucescu’s wards passed OFI Creta without emotion with a score of 4:0.

It was already 2-0 at the break after goals from Despodov and Abdul Baba within two minutes, as well as two missed penalties by Schwab and Samatta.

The final seemed tense, with the hosts scoring twice in the last three minutes, thanks to Marcos Antonio and Brandon Thomas.

After a period in which rivals Olympiakos lost their match against Lamia, PAOK remains at the top of the league table with 38 points.
