Two Croatian twin girls, born on New Year’s Eve with a difference of only two minutes, will have different birthdays and will celebrate their birthdays: one on New Year’s Eve, the other on New Year’s Day, writes AFP with reference to hospital sources.
The first of the twins was born on December 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m., and her sister on January 1, 2024, at one minute past midnight, the head of a maternity hospital in the coastal city of Split (south), where they arrived, told AFP on Wednesday that two little girls appeared.
“This is a really unusual situation,” said the director of the institution, Damir Rozhe.
He stated that in his professional career he had already witnessed the birth of twins on different dates, but never in different years.
