Naomi Osaka lost to Karolina Pliskova in the second round of WTA Brisbane

Naomi, the former WTA number one and multiple Grand Slam champion, made the better start, scoring the difference in the return and winning the first set 6-3.

The second set was one in which both players were strong on their serves with no break chances and naturally the set went to a tie-break.

Here, Carolina was more attentive, not giving up a single point on her own serve, and the score was on her side: 7-4.

And in the decisive match, the athlete from the Czech Republic served flawlessly and did not give her opponent a single chance. In addition, Pliskova made a redemptive break early, 1-1, and the set went in her favor (6-4).

The match of the second round of the WTA in Brisbane lasted two hours and 14 minutes.

The 16th seed, Karolina advanced to the round of 16, the phase of the tournament where she will face Olena Ostapenko (the 3rd seed, the Latvian advanced, 6-1, 6-4 Kamila Giorgi).

The result of the match between Karolina Pliskova and Naomi Osaka:
