The Romanian national team at the European Men’s Handball Championship

After 28 years of waiting, Romania will be present at the final tournament of the European Championship and Javi Pascual has called up 20 players.

Romania in Group B at the European Handball Championship among men

At the European Men’s Handball Championship, Romania is in Group B with Austria, Spain and Croatia.

The first two places will go to the main groups

  • Romania – Spain / January 14 / 19:00 / SAP Arena, Mannheim
  • Romania – Croatia / January 16 / 19:00 / SAP Arena, Mannheim.

Know:

  • The EC 2024 final tournament will be held from January 10 to 28 in six German cities, with the opening match between Germany and Switzerland taking place in Dusseldorf and the final in Cologne.
  • The Romanian national team last participated in the final tournament of the European Championship in 1996, when it took 9th place out of 12 participating teams.
  • The title of European champion in 2022 was won by Sweden.
