President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Friday evening during an address to the nation talked about the consequences of massive Russian air strikes on Ukraine and emphasized that, despite the obvious fatigue of the troops, Ukraine will not take a single step back and will continue the struggle for the liberation of its occupied territories, but for this he needs the support of allies.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine suffered the largest airstrike by Russia since the beginning of the war, during which almost 160 missiles and drones were sent. Despite the fact that most of them were destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses, more than 100 private houses were destroyed or damaged, as well as 45 apartment buildings, schools, two churches, hospitals, a maternity hospital, many commercial and storage facilities. The Russian attack was aimed at Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Smila, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr.

“We will definitely respond to every attack by Russian terrorists,” Zelensky promised, News.ro reports.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that “it is important that the world reacts to this latest terrorist attack.” He noted that many leaders have already expressed their support for Ukraine and Ukrainians, and he is grateful to everyone, but especially to those who helped with air defense.

“Our air defense fighters did a lot today, given that Russian terrorists tried to deliberately deceive our defenses. We will continue to strengthen air defense and work to return the war to these scum – home, to Russia, where they came from,” Zelensky promised.

“Although there is fatigue, there is no despair and there is no weakness”

The leader of Kyiv, who on Friday visited and awarded the fighters defending one of the hottest points of the front – Avdiivka, admitted that fatigue is visible in their ranks, but assured that “there is no despair” and “no weakness,” and this is the most important thing.

“Ukraine is fighting for its life, and I am grateful to all those who are on the front lines, on the front lines, and to all those who are helping,” Zelenskyy said, noting that he also visited a hospital in the Donetsk region to personally thank the military doctors and to support the wounded , who are recovering.

Actually, the Ukrainian leader seems to have recorded his message to the nation on the train.

“I am proud of our people, the strength of our nation, our country and what Ukraine can do when we are all together. And I thank everyone who cares about our country and our people!”, concluded Zelensky, encouraging the population and once again expressing his faith that Ukraine will win.
