While new car sales have started to grow very slightly, used models are also having some success. And for good reason, the latter have many advantages, including the fact that they are available immediately, at a price that is obviously much lower than cars leaving the factory. Therefore, it is not surprising that demand is also increasing, especially for cars less than 10 years old. But which brands are most popular among drivers? That’s the question posed by Le Bon Coin, who just published the results of their latest study on the subject.
German women appreciated
And what may seem rather surprising is that young drivers are generally very fond of German cars. Among 18-24-year-olds, Audi is the most successful, while BMW takes the lead among 25-34-year-old motorists. Finally, people in the 35 to 49 age group tend to prefer cars from Mercedes. In general, German premium brands are very popular among drivers, but not the most expensive models are popular.
And the French?
Among 18-24-year-olds, this is actually the case Renault Clio and Volkswagen Golf which are especially in demand. But have French cars lost their splendor? Well, not really, don’t worry. And it is not for nothing that the latter still enjoy some success, but already with elderly motorists. Indeed, people aged 50 to 64 prefer Renault, while people aged 65 and over are more likely to turn to Citroën for their used car.
