Journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu writes in an editorial in the Republic that Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu fired the secretary of state who rejected his request to declare him a fighter with a decisive role in the 1989 Revolution at a time when “Romania is full of pigs and cozonaci and with a winemaker on the cerebellum,” stating that in the case of the PSD leader, “there is no relevant evidence of any acts of struggle in the Revolution.”

Cristian Tudor Popescu said that he analyzed the documents presented in the Recorder’s investigation under the signature of the journalist, about how Çolaku received the revolutionary certificate from 1992, in the CAP to CAP show made by the Recorder together with Anka Simina.

“Conclusion: Cholaku declared himself a revolutionary based on his own statements, including a fake signature! To date, there is no relevant evidence of any combat actions by the PSD president during the Revolution,” CTP claims.

The journalist notes that it also cost Secretary of State Mihaj Dod the dismissal of the PSD leader, “who, as a result, revoked the revolutionary certificate from Čolak, who was not yet prime minister, in April.”

In July 2023, Marcel Čolaku sued the Secretariat for Revolutionary Affairs to obtain the title of fighter with a decisive role in the Revolution, and CTP noted that the Prime Minister did not wait until the first term of the trial, on January 11, 2024, removing Mihai Doda for night.

“Why? Because it can – the motto uttered by Codrin Stefanescu, under which P.S. Dragnea attacked Justice, and Čolaku, together with Dragnea, put a pike in the face. And because the moment is good, the whole of Romania is full of pigs and buns and with a winemaker on the cerebellum. In Dodu’s place, a pesedist viper named Stana was appointed,” CTP also reported.

Christian Tudor Popescu believes that with this step the prime minister aims to take this title to himself by appointing a person from the party he leads.

“Thus, Prime Minister Marcel Cholaku will once again anoint a buzoyan with an undefined profession since 1989, Marcel Cholaku, a revolutionary, even with special merits. At the world premiere! One can only speculate that Cholaku will show the same cynicism and shamelessness next year, holding the hammer of the post of prime minister in his hand,” CTP concluded.

Marcel Cholaku dismissed the secretary of state, who rejected his request to declare a fighter with a decisive role in the 1989 Revolution

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu dismissed Mihai Julian Doda as State Secretary of the State Secretariat for recognizing the merits of the fighters against the communist regime established in Romania between 1945 and 1989, the one who initiated the refusal of the Prime Minister’s request to declare his fighter with a decisive role in the December revolution of 1989.

Next comes the decision by which Sever-Romulus Stana is appointed as the state secretary of the State Secretariat for the recognition of the merits of fighters against the communist regime established in Romania in the period 1945-1989.

In January 2019, Stana was seconded to temporarily perform the functions of the prefect of the Capital and was an advisor to ANSVSA. Stana was also the interim head of PSD Bucharest.

Libertatea reported that Mihai Dodu is the son of hero Daniel Dodu, killed during the December 1989 revolution, and was appointed to the post by former Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke.

Registrar: the revolutionary file of Marcel Cholaku. Hero or impostor?

Marcel Čolaku has a revolutionary credentials since 1992, when he was a small businessman in Buzau and a student at the controversial Environmental University.

To obtain this first patent, which many transitional opportunists were hunting for, he submitted a file of holographic claims about his involvement in the revolution, as well as other evidence he deemed relevant, the Recorder showed two weeks ago when it published and analyzed the documents.

Key findings from the Recorder’s investigation:

Marcel Cholaku, who was three decades ago, supports his thesis of heroism in the Revolution through the many inconsistencies of time and place. The decisive role he ascribes to himself in the statements is not confirmed by other participants, nor by photographs, nor by relevant documents.

  • One of the signatures that made him a revolutionary with legal documents is suspected to be a forgery.
  • The prime minister has given contradictory information about his place of work since 1989, when he claims to have started his actions against the communist government: in his revolutionary dossier he suggests he worked at an enterprise in Buzău, and in his resume he is the minister of law in In 1988-1990, Intreprindea Electronica București appeared.
  • Although he publicly states that he did not seek and does not seek benefits from participation in the revolution, archival cadastral documents show that he was the owner of land obtained under the revolutionary act, and then sold it in 2007. he could benefit from retroactive allowances of more than €40,000 in the near future.
