The Deputy Mayor of Sector 3, Lucian Yudele (USR), says that the New Year’s Eve will take place in Hala Laminor without a fire safety permit and asks the authorities to intervene “urgently” to ensure the safety of the participants of this event. Last month, the company that runs Hala Laminor was fined for not having approval.

“It is deeply alarming that this event is taking place without a fire safety permit and in the absence of the necessary fire alarm and notification system. We faced a great risk and the safety of all participants must be a priority,” said Lucian Judele, according to a USR Bucharest press release, Agerpres noted.

The vice-mayor notes that such a situation is a “gross violation” of safety rules and recalls the tragedy at the Collective Club or the one that happened two days ago at Ferma Dacilor.

“I appeal to the authorities to urgently intervene and take immediate measures to ensure the safety of the participants of this event. It is extremely important to act quickly and effectively to avoid the repetition of this unfortunate tragedy,” added Lucian Yudele.

At the same time, the 3rd sector of the EDR considers ensuring the conditions of safety and protection of all citizens to be a priority task.

“We demand the immediate intervention of the ISU to implement urgent security measures and check the legality of the event in Hala Laminor. People’s safety is the most important priority and must be guaranteed without compromise,” the statement also said.

Algorithm Construcții S3, a company under District 3 local council that manages Hala Laminor, was fined 60,000 lei last month for not having a fire safety permit and failing to operate fire alarm or fire extinguishing systems, Europa Liberă reported in December. 6.

The breach in Hala Laminor in Bucharest (Sector 3) was discovered by firefighters from ISU Bucharest during an inspection on November 29.
