On Saturday, due to strong gusts of wind, cable cars were not working in the upper part of the Poshtavar mountain massif.
“The slopes in the upper part of the Poshtavarul massif are open. Although we are still under the blizzard code, the cable car in Poiana Brasov is operating, so you can ride the upper slopes and those for beginners,” Brasov City Hall representatives announced on Sunday.
According to them, on Sunday you can ski at the top of the Lupului and Drumul Roşu slopes, with access to the Ruia chairlift station, six-seater), as well as on the Doamnei slope with access to the Ruia Chairlift.
Poiana Brasov also has open slopes for beginners, Bradul and Stadion. The layer of packed snow in the upper part of the massif after the snowfalls of the last period is about 50 centimeters.
On Sundays, the Kanzel cable car, the gondola, the Ruia chairlift and the Stadion and Bradul lifts are open.
