Ezequiel Lavezzi hospitalized after family dispute

Ezequiel Lavezzi was hospitalized on Tuesday at the Cantegrill hospital in southern Uruguay. According to local media, the former player of the Argentina national team was stabbed in the stomach and “fractured the clavicle.”

Clarin notes that the injuries were the result of a domestic dispute.

German journalist García Grova of Tyc Sports, quoted by RMC Sport, notes that Lavezzi’s family is presenting a different version of the story that prompted the police to intervene, News.ro reports.

The former football player allegedly fell from a ladder while changing a light bulb, injuring his stomach and collarbone after hitting a piece of furniture.

Aged 38, Lavezzi played from 2012 to 2016 at PSG and also has five years spent in Italy with Napoli on his resume.

He collected 51 caps and 9 goals for the Argentine national team.
