
Several PNL MPs have submitted a bill to parliament that would grant expanded powers to the police and gendarmerie, generalizing the use of video cameras, as well as providing real-time access to images captured by surveillance cameras installed by private legal entities. In addition, the gendarmerie will create a database where such information as the status of a fan of a sports club will be stored.
The project has the signatures of 13 liberal deputies, including group leader Gabriel Andronake, Robert Sigiarteu, Florin Roman, Ioan Kupsha, Laurentiu Leoreanu and others. The regulatory act must be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies, which is the first forum in question. The bill makes changes to a number of current laws and regulations.
