Storia has released the Storia Summary, an annual report on how prices have changed, which properties are most in demand, which cities are the friendliest or most expensive, and many other important facts about what 2023 looked like for the real estate market.

What did the real estate market look like in 2023?

  • In 2023, there is an upward trend in both sales and rental prices.
  • In the capital, rental rates increased in all sectors, with the highest growth (+18%) recorded in sectors 1 and 2 for two-room apartments and in sector 5 for three-room apartments.
  • The most attractive prices in 2023 for sale, including county residences, were found in Rešice.
  • The highest prices were recorded in Cluj-Napoca, where the average price of an apartment for sale was 2,457 euros/sq.m, and for rent – 532 euros.
  • The most popular apartments were two-room apartments, both for purchase and for rent.
  • The month in which Romanians searched most actively was August.
  • Bucharest became the most popular city to live in in 2023.
  • The most expensive house sold on Storia was a historic landmark building in the Dorobanti (Capitale) area of ​​Bucharest. The price of the house was 6 million euros.
