Former PSD Labor Minister Marius Budai was allegedly caught at the Sculeni border crossing while entering Romania in a car believed to have been stolen from Belgium, writes Sursa Zilei. Budai was in the car with a member of the NSDP.

According to the cited source, on Saturday evening at the border crossing point of Skuleni in Iasi County, an Audi A6 car manufactured and registered in Romania in the name of PSD MP Dan-Konstantin Shlinka appeared at the border control on the way to enter the country . However, the car was listed as stolen.

Marius Budai and MP Dan-Konstantin Shlinku were in the car, writes Sursa Zilei.

In this case, criminal proceedings were opened for concealment, and the car was seized and taken to the headquarters of PTF Sculeni.

The source of “Dnia” tried to find out the point of view of the former Minister of Labor Marius Budai regarding this incident, but he did not respond.

The border service sent, but without specifying the names of the people who were in the car:

  • “On Saturday, December 16, 2023, around 8:30 p.m., an Audi A 6 registered in Romania appeared at the Skuleni checkpoint for border control on the way to enter the country. After checks, it was established that the car in question is wanted for confiscation, warning of the Belgian authorities on 05.01.2016.
  • Two Romanian citizens were in the car, one of them had a 2015 registered car.
  • In the case, the vehicle was seized, investigative actions are being continued to find out the circumstances on the basis of the crime of concealment.
