In conjunction with the recent publication of the list of electric vehicles eligible for the new green bonus, the government and the Environmental Transition Agency (Ademe) have just launched a dedicated website to make it easier for those looking for information on eligible car models and variants. for an environmental bonus.

Indeed, you probably couldn’t have missed it if you follow motoring news closely, the government has just released the list of vehicles eligible for the 2024 eco bonus, a bonus that correlates with an environmental score.

About sixty cars on which the bonus is valid

Therefore, this new version of the bonus is its focus on vehicles with the best carbon footprint. Various environmental criteria are taken into account, such as the materials used, the type of battery, the energy consumption of the factory and the impact of vehicles.

Even if the government refuses to say that this is a protectionist measure, it is simply a way of responding to measures taken recently by the United States and China.

The environmental bonus also plays a decisive role in the possibility of receiving the bonus, as well as in the access to social leasing. The site, available at the indicated address, will be operational from Saturday, December 16. This will allow potential buyers as well as sellers to efficiently search for vehicles eligible for the green bonus, classified by make and model.

Users can also contact their local dealer or the manufacturer directly to ensure that a particular model is eligible. Really, the bonus always depends on the sale price, which must not exceed 47,000 euros.

An evolving list

At the same time, the application platform will remain open throughout the year for all manufacturers who wish to submit new applications. Indeed, if you haven’t seen the Citroën ë-C3 or the Renault 5 E-Tech yet, it’s simply because the files haven’t been submitted and checked yet. The reason is simple: Citroën has not yet officially announced the prices of its electric city car, and Renault has not officially introduced the R5 E-Tech.

Therefore, the decree listing the eligible versions according to the environmental assessment will be updated regularly, usually monthly, according to the speed of the Ademe site updates.

Also note that the right to receive a bonus is not retroactive. The vehicle will be able to receive a bonus only from the moment its compliance is officially declared by an inter-ministerial order.
