On Thursday, a man met a woman from whom he received 15,000 euros in a cafe in a shopping center in Timisoara. She is involved in a civil case in the High Court of Cassation and Justice, and the man promised her that he could appear before the judges in her favor for a certain amount of money. In disbelief, the woman informed the DNA prosecutor’s office, which, after receiving the money, detained the man.

On Friday, DNA announced in a press release that Timișoara court judges issued a 30-day pretrial arrest warrant for abuse of influence on behalf of the man.

According to DNA prosecutors, between September and December, the man demanded €25,000 from a person (the witness in question) to sell the alleged influence he believed he would have over him. some judges and that this would encourage them to decide on a favorable resolution of the civil case in which the witness was interested.

On Thursday, the man was supposed to receive the first installment of 15,000 euros from the requested amount, on which a flashy action was organized, reports DNA.
