If from the beginning of this year hybrids (new and used) are no longer eligible for the environmental bonus, there are several nudges to soften the final amount of the purchase invoice. They mainly have the form a conversion bonus (PAC), paid upon acquisition of opportunity. To benefit from this, you must also scrap a diesel vehicle first put into service before 1 January 2011 or a petrol vehicle put into service before 1 January 2006. Then, the amount allocated depends on your income.

Basic Taxable Income (RFR) is less than €6,300

If your household’s RFR per share is less than 6300 euros, the conversion bonus you will be paid will reach 5000 euros (up to 80% of the purchase price) if you buy a plug-in hybrid with the approved all-electric range is at least 50 km. Otherwise, its amount will be 3,000 euros.

Basic Taxable Income (RFR) from €6,300 to €13,489

If your household’s RFR per share is from €6300 to €13489, then CAP 2500 euros (always limited to 80% of the purchase price) if the all-electric range is at least 50 km, and €1,500 otherwise. however, if you are considered a heavy skater (the distance between your home and place of work exceeds 30 km and/or you drive more than 12,000 km annually with your personal vehicle in the course of your professional activity), the terms of Case No. 1 apply.

Basic Taxable Income (RFR) exceeds €13,489

If your household’s basic taxable income is more than 13,489 euros, you will be eligible for CAP, a the amount of 2500 euros, only if the hybrid you buy has a allowed electric range of at least 50 km.

Please note that these conversion bonuses are only paid once per person only if the purchase price is €50,000 (power reserve on full electricity is less than 50 km) or 60,000 euros (power reserve on electricity at least 50 km) maximum. In return, you agree to keep your plug-in hybrid for at least 12 months (2 years if leased) and drive at least 6,000 km with it.

Other assistance for Ile-de-France residents or businesses

THE residents of Greater Paris may, in addition, be entitled to assistance in the amount 6000 euros (information at Metropolegrandparis.fr).

For companies, the scale is much simpler. Provided that the purchased plug-in hybrid has an approved range of at least 50 km and that it is priced at a maximum of €60,000, the conversion bonus reaches 2,500 euros.
