Romania missed the qualification for the pre-Olympic tournament

Despite beating Poland in the final game of the Women’s Handball World Cup, the Romanian national team finished the tournament in 12th place, missing out on a chance to take part in the Pre-Olympic tournament.

The last to reach the quarter-finals was Montenegro, which took advantage of Croatia’s defeat against Hungary, due to which the result of the match against Sweden stopped being counted.
