She cited the example of Alexandra Piscupescu and Stefania Preoteasa, two coaches who worked for free during the summer at the World Junior Championships.

“At the general level of the sport, there is definitely a problem with coaches, and it is also because they are not paid properly. I told you that we only have four coaches who work with passion.

That’s the biggest problem is that they don’t get paid properly for the sacrifices they make because it’s a pretty hard job and it takes a lot of sacrifice, basically you’re there with your heart one hundred percent, you don’t have a family anymore, you don’t have nothing, you have no life,” Deleanu said.
