Emma Reducanu is unsure of her presence in the main draw of the 2024 Australian Open
However, the British woman is not sure of her presence in the main draw of the first Grand Slam of the year. Ranked 296th in the WTA rankings, Emma used a protected ranking (ranked 103rd) to enter.
So there are three ways for Reducanu to enter the main draw in Melbourne: if she receives a wildcard, if six higher-ranked players withdraw or if she qualifies (which is how she won her only title, at the 2021 US Open).
The athlete (whose father is Romanian) was supposed to play in the Macau Tennis Masters exhibition tournament this month, but he retired on the day he turned 21.
Redukan’s last official match took place in April of this year in Stuttgart: Emma suffered an unequivocal defeat with a score of 6-2, 6-1 against Jelena Ostapenko. In May, Emmy underwent surgery on both wrists and ankles.
Emma Raducanu is currently ranked 296th in the world, she has collected $3,776,535 from tennis, she has 98 wins and 49 losses, and she has won only one title in her entire career, but that is the Grand Slam, the US Open 2021.

For now, she will have to qualify or get a wild card.
