A bag of drugs found by several children in the attic of a house in the village of Vicany, Suceava County, led to the prosecution of a group of high-risk drug traffickers, 13 people, including teenagers, are accused in a file instrumented by DIICOT.
A large-scale investigation in Suceava was launched by DIICOT prosecutors when a large quantity of drugs was accidentally found in a barn.
Investigators managed to find out who hid them there, the network of traders was taken to court, Monitorul de Suceava notes.
10 of the 13 young people, two of whom are minors aged 16 and 17, who were sent to court by the prosecutor’s office, are from Siret.
One of the main accused, aged 21, packed cannabis and cocaine, which he handed over to another accused for sale. The police caught the latter with drugs in the car.
The 21-year-old is also charged with aggravated sexual relations with a minor after he had sex with a 14-year-old girl who became addicted to the drugs he also gave her.
Two other 19-year-olds hid 2.5 kg of cannabis and 4.43 degrees of dried mushrooms in a shed in the village of Vishkany, mistaking it for a safe place, after sensing the police were on their trail. Later, two children came across drugs.
After this seizure, the group temporarily stopped drug dealing, but they were later ensnared by law enforcement when they sold cocaine to an undercover investigator.
Another key defendant in the case, a 24-year-old man, is also charged with “retaliation for the furtherance of justice” after he made mafia-style threats to one of the minors who gave evidence to investigators in one of the episodes about the attempted abduction from the street and forcefully put him in a car driven by another person involved in the case.
The case with 13 defendants was registered in the court of Suceava to start the trial. Young people enjoy the presumption of innocence until the final decision of the judges. (photo source Dreamstime)
