Christina Nyagu: “I don’t know when and if I will be able to play”
Nyagu injured his right knee (posterior medial angle injury) during the match between CSM Bucharest and VSC Debrecen (Champions League) and recently trained separately.
The captain of the Romanian national team said that the pains have not disappeared and he only hopes to be able to help the “three colors” in his last performance at the World Cup.
“My situation is very unclear. I haven’t trained with the team for two weeks. I tried to run and train my body a little, to be as fit as possible. But even now it hurts.
So we have to take things day by day and see if I get better. I hope it happens because I really don’t want to miss our matches in this beautiful arena.
Not the best situation for me. This is my last World Cup, we are playing in one of my favorite venues here in Denmark and I don’t know when or if I will be able to play.
So mentally I’m not feeling very well right now. But I’m doing everything I can to prepare myself and hope to be back as soon as possible.” – Christina Nyaguin an interview for Sport TV2.
