According to the source, the hacker group BLACKJACK together with cyber specialists of the SBU hacked the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia.

Hackers gained access to a large number of documents: statistical data on the conduct of military operations (the so-called “special military operation”), personal data of military personnel, materials of reports to the President of the Russian Federation, and information on the number of prostheses ordered.

A separate series of information concerns the temporarily occupied Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.

“Now the Security Service will have many new documents to study. After downloading the necessary information, the hackers “deleted” more than 100 terabytes of data from the ministry’s servers,” the quoted source said.

Since the beginning of the war, Russian state media or institutions have become targets of cyberattacks.

The well-known hacker group Anonymous has declared “war” on Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, saying that it will attack the relevant websites of the Russian government.

In March 2022, Anonymous members said they hacked Russian TV channels to broadcast footage of the war in Ukraine, where the Kremlin says it is conducting a “special military operation” and denies attacks on civilians.

In December 2022, VTB Bank, Russia’s second largest bank, suffered the largest cyber attack in its history, the institution said.
