​Dynamo have reached 11 consecutive matches without a win in the Super Lig and Stefan cel Mare’s group announced on Tuesday that Ovidiu Burke is no longer the coach of the team.

Ovidiu Burke is no longer the coach of “Dynamo”.

“Dynamo” stated that this decision was made by mutual consent.

Ovidio Burke helped the team back to the Superliga after just one season spent in Ligue 2, but the “dogs” have had a nightmare season and avoiding relegation has become a very difficult mission (15th place, 10 points from 17 stages).

Burke collected 56 matches on the bench of “Dynamo”: 19 wins, 15 draws and 22 losses (goal difference 73-32).

“Ovidiu started his career at Dynamo on July 21, 2022, at the beginning of a season in which not many coaches would undertake such a mission. In a situation where bankruptcy was predicted by many, Ovidiu took on a greater responsibility than a mere coach: to ensure that the Romanian symbol did not die, that it would continue. And what a story we had together!

At the end of the season, when all resources were limited and what was desperately needed for Dynamo was missing in many moments, we returned to the Super League, where we belong, with Ovidiu Burke, the “madman” whose hope was never broken although reality gave us many signs that it was about to collapse.

We thank Ovid Burke for making us believe in Dynamo and for his impeccable work ethic. Our paths diverge, but no one will ever be able to take away the moments we experienced when we entered the first echelon. They have their place of honor in the history of the club, which we want to restore to the level of its past glory.

• As reported by DigiSport, the team will be trained in the near future Sorin Kolchegone of Burke’s seconds, who was also on the technical bench in 2021. The team will train for the first time without Ovidio Burke on Tuesday, from 16:00.
